PTA groups join crosswalk safety campaign
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- PTA groups across the Valley are competing to see who can get the most Be Smart. Be Safe. Be Seen. pledges signed.
An event was held Thursday night at David M. Cox Elementary School where everyone was encouraged to make the commitment to crosswalk safety.
Earlier this year, Action News partnered with Look Out Kids About to help spread the message.
"More people are aware, and that's the point. We want to engage the community and we want parents to talk to their children about safety," Brandyn Dente with Look Out Kids About said.
PTA groups are competing for scholarships to the National PTA conference next year.
