Coroner IDs teenager killed in deadly house fire
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has identified the teenager that died Thursday night in a fire on Bartlett Avenue in the northeast part of the Valley as 13-year-old Mirion Jackson.
The man who also has died has not been identified but officials with Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said that the man was the father of the teenager.
He was working on a boat when a spark ignited a fire. The home next to the boat was quickly engulfed.
Police officers from Las Vegas and North Las Vegas were able to rescue a woman through the back door of the residence. The teenager was later found inside the residence.
The coroner will release the identity of the man as soon as it has been verified.
