Passenger count rises slightly in August for McCarran airport
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- According to the latest figures released, the passenger count for the month of August rose slightly at McCarran International Airport.
The passenger count for August 2012 was 3,643, 902. That is a 0.3 percent change for the same month last year when the count was 3,632,945.
The year-to-date total for McCarran is 28,060,157 -- up 1.4 percent over last year.
The international passenger count has increased 11.4 percent while domestic travel has increased one percent.
Southwest continues to be the largest carrier. Their passenger count for the month of August was 1,458,738. The other top five are United, Delta, American and Allegiant.
