Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The man that was waiting to be sentenced for killing a 12-year-old girl while driving under the influence has been ordered to stay in jail following an arrest last Saturday night.

Justin Caramanica crashed into a parked car on Saturday, not too far from his home and less than half a mile from where 12-year-old Faith Love died on Oct. 31, 2011.

He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of driving under the influence, failure to drive within marked lanes, and driving on a revoked license.

Caramanica was ordered to stay in jail by Las Vegas Justice Cout Judge Suzan Baucum.

Police say that Caramanica was under strict orders not to use drugs or alcohol while he waited to be sentenced for the death of Love.

Caramanica is due to be sentenced for Love's death on Nov. 5. Prosecutors have filed a request that Caramanica's bail be revoked in that case. That request will be heard at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

The executive director for STOP DUI says that they are relieved that he is in custody and not posing as a public hazard.

Caramanica's high-powered defense attorney in the Faith Love case -- William Terry -- will not represent him on there most recent charges.

Terry has not returned Actions News calls for comment.
