22-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash at Lake Mead
Boulder City, NV (KTNV) -- A 22-year-old man was killed Sunday in a motorcycle crash.
It happened just before 9:30 a.m. on the Callville Bay Access Road at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
The identity of the driver has not been released.
The Lake Mead Interagency Communication Center received an emergency call reporting a motorcycle down near mile marker 3.
National Park Service Rangers responded and found the man unresponsive 75 feet off the road, down an embankment.
Rangers conducted CPR for 40 minutes before a Community Ambulance paramedic pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
Preliminary reports indicate speed as a contributing factor.
The Callville Bay Access Road was temporarily closed while crews were on the scene, but has since reopened.
