Report: Driver took drugs before bus stop crash
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A criminal complaint states that Gary Hosey, the driver in a bus stop crash that left four dead and several others injured, was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
The complaint, released Thursday by the District Attorney's office, accuses Hosey of driving under the combined influence of liquor and marijuana.
At the scene of the crash, a police report stated that Hosey smelled of alcohol and admitted to consuming drinking before the collision. Hosey reportedly told police he consumed one Budweiser at a nearby bar before speeding to return a car to his girlfriend.
As he drove to his girlfriend's house, police say Hosey careened into a bus stop on Spring Mountain near Decatur.
Four people were killed and others severely wounded.
The criminal complaint states that a blood test administered to Hosey revealed marijuana in his system.
Hosey faces several charges for felony DUI. He's scheduled to be arraigned in court on Friday morning.
He remains jailed at the Clark County Detention Center after a judge refused to set bail.
