Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- This weekend, the Public Education Foundation will honor Charles and Phyllis Frias. They are the namesakes of Frias Elementary School. Students there say they have one of the most high-tech schools in Clark County, thanks to the generosity of the Frias family.
Principal Valerie Rice says, "She is the mother of our school. She makes learning fun for all the kids. She did not have any children and I think that's why she loves so much every child at this school. We meet several times a year. And she always asks me what are the needs of my kids and teachers. And then she supplies them."
In addition to funding two MAC computer labs, Mrs. Frias sends every fifth grade student to Disneyland before they graduate from her school.
