Man accused in bus stop crash makes first court appearance
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The man accused in a drunken driving crash that killed four people made his first court appearance Monday morning.
23-year-old Gary Hosey appeared before a judge in court, wearing a sling and appearing remorseful.
Last Thursday morning, police say Hosey was drunk when he lost control of the car he was driving, careening into a bus stop on Spring Mountain near Decatur.
Four people were killed and seven others were injured, including the four other people in his car at the time.
Hosey faces four charges of felony DUI death.
Judge Conrad Hafen ordered he be held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.
Hosey's family was in the courtroom as well. His mother did not want to speak on camera, but other family members said they are sorry for the victim's families.
Hosey was not asked to enter a plea on Monday.
He is due in court for arraignment on Friday at 7:30 a.m.
