Court date set for alleged drunk driver in fatal bus stop crash
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Family members are apologizing on behalf of a 23-year-old Las Vegas man accused of driving drunk when his car plowed through into a crowded bus stop last week.
Gary Lee Hosey Jr.'s mother, father, aunt and other family members said outside court that their thoughts and prayers were with the families of the four people killed and seven other people injured in the Thursday morning crash.
Hosey was also hurt. He appeared in court with his with his right arm in a sling. He conferred with a lawyer and wasn't asked to enter a plea.
His arraignment is set for Friday.
Witnesses reported the 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that Hosey was driving was going more than 100 mph when it went out of control and slammed into the bus stop.
