Police say 3 juveniles responsible for several burglaries
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Stolen guns, ammunition and jewelry have been recovered from an apartment near Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue.
The discovery by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department led to the arrest of three juveniles who police say are responsible for several burglaries.
A tip from a regular citizen led to the huge bust.
Lieutenant Les Lane was driving near Boulder and Tropicana when he was flagged down by a woman.
That woman told him that she just saw teenagers in the area with guns.
Police found the teens at the Virginia Apartments.
Since the bust, residents of the complex say they have noticed a difference.
"Our property is much quieter, cleaner. We get better kids coming around here playing. You don't see no cars ripping and running through the parking lot so it's 100% better," said one resident.
The three juveniles who were hiding the stolen property were charged with burglary with a firearm, possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit burglary.
Police are still investigating whether the teens could be tied to more crimes.
