Spring Mountain Road reopens after deadly bus stop crash
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Metro Police are reopening Spring Mountain Road near Decatur more than 12 hours after a deadly crash at a bus stop.
The crash happened at about 6:25 a.m. when police say a drunken driver speeding eastbound lost control and careened into a bus stop.
Four people waiting at the bus stop were killed in the crash. Eight others were taken to nearby hospitals to be treated for injuries varying in severity.
That area of roadway was reopened at about 6:45 p.m.
Police said the driver of the car, who has not been identified, will face felony drunken driving charges.
The area was shut down all day as detectives investigated the scene and attempted to piece together what happened.
The bodies of those who lost their lives were taken to the Clark County Coroner's Office to be identified.
