Red Cross hit the streets to help residents after flood
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Many homeowners and residents had no idea where to turn after their houses were flooded during Tuesday's downpour.
The American Red Cross hit the streets this morning to help those people out. Groups of volunteers went door to door in various neighborhoods offering assistance.
"We will help them if they need it regardless with financial support, moral support and anything that they need and it's ongoing," said Paul Harding, Red Cross team leader.
Many people were just looking for information but some were helped with housing and food.
But perhaps what is most devastating is the huge financial burden they are now faced with after the floods.
The American Red Cross will stay in touch with those needing help over the next few days providing referrals and whatever assistance that they can.
