Las Vegas man accused of killing wheelchair user
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Police say a 45-year-old man said he doesn't remember upending a 60-year-old man in an electric wheelchair and beating and stabbing him to death in a street corner attack in the West Las Vegas neighborhood.
Court documents show that Louis Dwayne Marks is due for arraignment Wednesday on a charge of murder with a weapon of a victim over 60 years of age in the late Friday slaying of Abram Alexander.
A police report says officers found a crowd of people at H Street just north of Owens Avenue, where Alexander was found in a pool of blood.
Marks was arrested nearby. Police say he told detectives he drank alcohol and smoked marijuana and PCP earlier, and didn't remember fighting anyone.
Police say Marks' bloody knife was found with Alexander.
