RENO, Nev. (AP) -- U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan is set to discuss the rising cost of college and issues impacting the Hispanic community during a stop in Reno.
The town hall meeting Wednesday evening at the University of Nevada, Reno, will bring together about 700 people. Participants will be examining recommendations on Latino postsecondary education offered up by the President's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics.
Univision's Anya Arechiga will moderate the event.
The stop is part of the federal Department of Education's third annual back-to-school bus tour, which also includes visits to Carson City, Elko and Las Vegas.
