Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The torrential rain poured down so hard and so fast, it left behind a path of destruction and major mess for residents near the Flamingo wash.
"Water just poured in from the roof," Daniel McGuire said as he shot cellphone video. Water gushed through the air vent in his bathroom.
"We just got completely soaked from head to toe," McGuire said. "Nobody should get that wet inside! It was just totally crazy."
From top to bottom, McGuire's apartment complex totally flooded. It's the same story for other residents living in complexes on Cambridge Street.
"What did this look like?" Action News asked resident Gail Campbell. "Like the end of the world," she said.
The water was powerful enough to move dumpsters at Campbell's condo and send the dumpsters flying into her patio.
She describes what she heard. "Just a roaring sound and then the crashing," Campbell said.
Another dumpster busted through a concrete wall, filling the road with debris and closing down the street for three hours.
Residents surveyed the damage outside and inside.
"All of this is soaking wet," Campbell said as she showed off her drenched carpet.
The cleanup will take hours and even days.
"I'm still going, it's going to be nuts," Tim Robertson said. "The carpets everything is saturated, the walls -- they are going to have to look at the walls."
"It came down hard and quick and I don't think anybody was prepared for exactly how bad it was going to be," McGuire said.
