St. George man dead in rollover north of Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A 19-year-old Utah man is dead after the car he was riding in rolled on Interstate 15 about 25 miles north of Las Vegas.
Nevada Highway Patrol officials say Nathan M. Short of St. George died of his injuries late Sunday, hours after he was ejected from a vehicle.
Officials say a 2001 Hyundai sedan was traveling northbound about 7:30 a.m. Sunday when the driver lost control and overturned through the center median.
Short was in the front passenger seat and was taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas by helicopter, where he was pronounced dead about 11:15 p.m.
Three other people riding in the car were taken to the hospital with injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening. None of the four had been wearing a seatbelt.
