Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in collision with van

Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a mini-van.
It happened around 11:40 a.m. Saturday on Sunset Boulevard near Green Valley Parkway.
According to Henderson Police on the scene, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Sunset when a silver mini-van pulled out in front of it from a parking lot.
It appeared the motorcycle driver was unable to stop in time and slammed into the mini-van.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries to his upper torso and was transported to Sunrise Hospital.
The driver of the van wasn't hurt.
Police said the preliminary investigation suggested speed, alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
