Sandoval named vice chairman of NGA committee
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) -- Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval has been named vice chairman of a standing committee of the National Governors Association.
A first term Republican, Sandoval will serve as vice chairman of the Health and Homeland Security Committee for the 2012-2013 year. Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, who is a Democrat, was named chairman.
The committee appointments were announced Thursday.
