Police still seeking info on man found by dog walker
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police are asking once again for the public's help in finding out what happened to the man that was found by a woman walking her dog on Aug. 17 on Los Feliz Street, just north of Bonanza Road.
The man was previously identified by Las Vegas police as 19-year-old Daniel Dean Way of Las Vegas.
Police say that Way's hands were cut off. He was dressed only in boxer-type underwear when his body was discovered. His hands were not present at the crime scene and they have not been found.
A silver or gray late-model Chevrolet or GMC extended-cab truck was seen leaving the area where Way's body was found at about 4 a.m. that day. The truck had a raised suspension and loud exhaust.
In addition to information about the truck and its driver, police are also asking for the public's help in obtaining the following information:
-- Way's last place of residence

-- Information on family members, friends or associates
-- Information on his activities leading up to Aug. 17, 2012.
Anyone with any information about Way is asked to call LVMPD's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
