UPDATE: Cesar Sanchez and Alejandro Sanchez-Sanchez appeared in a Henderson courtroom this morning. A hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 11.

Both men are being held in the Henderson Detention Center. Bail has been set at more than $1 million. However, an immigration hold has been placed on the two men.

That means that even if the men make bail, they will not be released. An immigration hold keeps inmates jailed for potential immigration violations.

Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- The two men accused of kidnapping a Henderson teenager and holding her for ransom are scheduled to make their first court appearance Tuesday morning.

Henderson police arrested Cesar Sanchez and Alejandro Sanchez-Sanchez for the kidnapping of 17-year-old Melissa Duran who, police say, they held hostage for 21 hours.

Duran was taken from her home last Friday before school.

She said one of the captors came to her front door, threw sand in her face, picked her up, and then dragged her to a getaway car.

They took her to an apartment complex where she says they threatened her family.

The girl was eventually rescued by police. Both suspects are facing charges of kidnapping and extortion.

They are scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. this morning.
