Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A family who lost everything after their moving truck was stolen is now living happily thanks to the help of generous strangers.

"I feel at home, and that's way more than what I felt before, so it feels wonderful," said Rebecca Lovelady.

The Lovelady family was in the process of moving from Oregon last month when their moving truck was stolen from outside a motel in Henderson.

"They took all of our clothes, but two shirts, one for me and one for mom," one of Rebecca's sons said.

There was little to salvage from the trashed trailer. The community saw their story on Action News and helped organize a fundraiser.

The donations poured in, and soon the Loveladys had almost everything to fill their home: couches, a kitchen table, a TV and toys for Rebecca's two sons.

"I think it's a pretty great community, I mean, I was shocked at the amazing support that came forward," Rebecca said.

It's enough to get the Loveladys back on their feet. Now, they're focused on settling into a new life in Las Vegas.

Lovelady is enrolled in a master's program at UNLV and her boys just started school.

"We got to have movie night last night, for the first time, since we've been we sat down as a family," Rebecca said. "That's what makes it a home."
