Former Gold Rush reopens as Wildfire Sunset Casino
HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) -- A Henderson casino that closed in June has reopened under the name Wildfire Sunset.
The former Gold Rush Casino got a total makeover during the summer and opened under Station Casinos' Wildfire brand at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Wildfire Sunset is located next to the larger Sunset Station Casino the company operates. Station officials say that while both casinos target locals, the Wildfire has a more intimate, neighborhood feel than its counterpart.
Wildfire Sunset is the fourth casino bearing the Wildfire name. The brand's properties combine sports books, lounges and a Wildburger restaurant.
