Man arrested in connection with Alameda Avenue body
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police have arrested 28-year-old Josue Nunez of Las Vegas in the connection with the body of a man found in a car on Alameda Avenue on Monday.
Police officers were dispatched to Alameda Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. Monday in response to a possible burglary in progress.
Arriving officers discovered a vehicle parked in front of a house in the 4000 block of Alameda. A deceased adult male was in the back seat.
Nunez was found hiding in a shed nearby a short time later.
According to police, the victim -- 31-year-old Las Vegas resident Steven Roy Blair -- was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Nunez had just been kicked out of Chicas Bonitas strip club when he ran across Blair in a parking lot.
Police say that Nunez robbed and shot Blair and then drove with his body in the car to Alameda Avenue.
Nunez has been charged with murder with a deadly weapon; robbery with a deadly weapon; burglary with a deadly weapon; and first-degree kidnapping with a weapon.
Nunez was wanted on a fugitive warrant for escaping house arrest at the time of his arrest.
