Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- You might think you're a safe driver, but if you live in Las Vegas, your insurance company may need some convincing.
Landing at #136 on a list of 200, Las Vegas was named one of the least-safe driving cities by Allstate Insurance.
Insurance agents say tourism and drivers under the influence paired with a large number of fatalities on our local roads earned Las Vegas its low ranking.
Those factors make insurance premiums in Las Vegas some of the most expensive.
One local insurance agent tells Action News the city's growth has also caused a rise in crashes, and therefore higher insurance premiums.
In contrast, Reno has some of the safest drivers according to Allstate, coming in #8 on the list.
