Local Red Cross members to help in hurricane response
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Several local volunteers are being deployed to the Southeast, ahead of Tropical Storm Isaac.
Chief Development Officer Jennifer Ramieh is headed to the Tampa area in preparation for American Red Cross hurricane response.
April Reppetto, Jim Smyth, Tere Shannon and Stan Thompson also heading to the storm zone.
They will be stationed in Montgomery, Alabama.
April and Jim will work in mass care sheltering, as they set up and run shelters.
Tere will work in client services, working with clients needing shelter and support.
Stan will be working in disaster services technology.
