Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Local students took a huge step forward Sunday in becoming future doctors.
Touro University, located in Henderson, handed out white coats to its students.
They say it symbolizes the beginning of a journey for students in osteopathic medicine, physician studies and physical therapy.
The ceremony took place at the Rio Hotel & Casino.
Students at Touro started classes in early August.
