Back-to-school fair focuses on bullying
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Classes for Clark County school kids resume on Monday. And on Saturday, Cox Communications held it's final back-to-school fair.
This year, the cable company is partnering up with the school district to put a stop to bullying.
Amongst all the giveaways and freebies at the fair, was a booth handing out the greatest back-to-school item of all, hope.
Steve Schorr with Cox said, "Bullying is an epidemic in our schools that we must take care of, and we must become involved in."
Cox has helped to support "Flip the Script," a program offering parents, teachers and kids tips and tools to stop bullying.
Once school starts, "Flip the Script" will be kicking their anti-bullying campaign into high gear.
Coming up in September, they'll be hosting a statewide town forum on the subject of bullying.
