Immunization fair sees overwhelming turnout
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Many parents are scrambling to make sure their children have all the proper immunizations before school starts.
To help, the Southern Nevada Immunization and Health Coalition teamed up Friday with the Martin Luther King Health Cetner for an immunization fair.
So many people turned out that 80 families had to be turned away.
The staff on hand says overall, it was a successful event.
Nevada has one of the lowest immunization rates in the country, so big turn outs like the one Friday are encouraged.
