Sparks dad arrested for allegedly slapping baby
SPARKS, Nev. (AP) -- A Sparks father has been arrested for allegedly slapping his 1-year-old son during a domestic dispute with his wife.
Police say Kylan Moreland was arrested early Thursday at the Pony Express Travel Lodge.
KOLO-TV reports Moreland's wife told police he came home drunk and they began arguing.
She told police Moreland became aggressive so she went outside, and he slammed the door and locked her out.
According to a police report, the baby awoke and started crying, and the mother heard what sounded like Moreland hitting the child.
She climbed in through a bathroom window, got the baby and called an ambulance.
Authorities say the baby had cuts around his mouth and extensive bruising on his face and head.
