144 arrests made in anti-prostitution operation
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police in Las Vegas made 144 arrests during an anti-prostitution operation.
The 10-day nationwide operation focused on the demand side of prostitution.
Las Vegas Metro Police Dept. officers arrested 26 people accused of engaging in prostitution or related activities.
A total of 188 charges were filed, including soliciting or engaging in prostitution, kidnap, child abuse, loitering for the purpose of prostitution and massaging without a license.
Police say many of the suspects were arrested on multiple charges. During the operation, four juvenile prostitutes were identified by officers.
This year's operation was the third annual nationwide effort.
