Nevada's Cave Lake named top park for fishing
RENO, Nev. (AP) -- Northern Nevada's Cave Lake State Park has been nominated a top state park in America by fishing and boating fans.
The 4,500-acre park south of Ely includes a 32-acre reservoir with brown and rainbow trout.
Fans voted on Facebook as part of the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation's "Take Me Fishing" campaign to select the top eight natural waterparks.
Cave Lake, at an elevation of 7,300 feet in the Schell Creek Range, was the only park in the west to make the list.
