Neighbors fearful after desert body declared homicide
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has classified the body found in the desert last week as a homicide.
It is news that is very disturbing to those that live in the neighborhood.
The body of an unidentified male was discovered last Friday by a woman on a walk with her dog.
Luibeth Cole says that she used to ride her bike around the neighborhood but has stopped doing that since the discovery of the body in the desert.
Las Vegas police have released images of the man's tattoos, hoping that someone will recognize them. One tattoo is a distinctive green skull on the deceased man's right shoulder. There were also two letters on his left forearm.
Residents in the area say the sooner the mystery is solved, the sooner they will no longer have to walk the streets in fear.
Police have released few other details about the victim. They say that he is somewhere between 16 and 26 years old, about 5-feet 10-inches tall, 130 to 150 pound, and has short, light brown hair.
