Pahrump man dead after rollover in Laughlin

Laughlin, NV (KTNV) -- A 32-year-old man from Pahrump is dead after a rollover accident in Laughlin at about 8:17 p.m. Monday night.

Two other passengers in the vehicle -- an 8-year-old female and 6-year-old male -- were not seriously injured.

According to witnesses and evidence at the scene, a 2000 Toyota 4 Runner was traveling east on Casino Drive, about 900 feet east of Needles Highway.

For unknown reasons, the SUV left the roadway and entered into the gravel on the shoulder.

The driver over-corrected and the SUV began to roll.

The driver did not have on a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two children were properly restrained and only suffered minor injuries. They were transported to West Arizona Regional Medical Center.

This is the 78th fatality in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction in 2012.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

The Clark County coroner will release the identity of the victim after notification of kin.
