Las Vegas motorcyclist in critical condition after crash
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a collision between a motorcycle and a minivan.
It happened just before midnight Saturday, on Spring Mountain Road east of Arville Street.
Police said the scene indicated the minivan was eastbound on Spring Mountain, and stopped in the two-way left turn lane.
The motorcycle was traveling westbound on Spring Mountain, in the right travel lane.
The minivan proceeded to turn left into a parking lot, when the motorcycle hit the right side of the van.
Both vehicles came to a stop in the parking lot.
The motorcycle driver, 21-year-old Alexander Rust of Las Vegas, was taken to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the minivan was not hurt.
