North Las Vegas Police hand out school supplies to kids
North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The North Las Vegas Police Department participated in a back-to-school event at the North Las Vegas Boys & Girls Club Saturday.
Sponsors helped gather and distribute some much-needed supplied to kids, because they said they saw a growing need in their community.
The kids will be ready when the first bell rings for the first day of school, thanks to the hundreds of notebooks, backpacks and other goodies handed out.
North Las Vegas Police said it wasn't difficult to get sponsors to donate items.
Police hope to turn Saturday's back-to-school fair into an annual event.
