County commissioner's bulls escape into neighborhood

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A woman is recovering after she was injured trying to coral a bull loose in a neighborhood.

It happened Saturday afternoon on the 4200 block of Decatur in North Las Vegas.

Police said a bull escaped into the neighborhood. In trying to corral the bull, a 42-year-old woman was injured. She was taken to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.

One bull had to be tranquilized. A second bull was also returned to the property, which belongs to Commissioner Tom Collins.

That woman had to get stitches under her chin, but Action News was told she is doing fine.

Commissioner Collins was cited with a misdemeanor for live-stock at large.
