Beth Fisher joining Channel 13 Action News
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas newscaster Beth Fisher will be joining the morning team of Lisa Remillard and Casey Smith in early September.
“It’s rare when someone with Beth’s talent and level of local experience becomes available,” said Karin Movesian, news director for KTNV-TV, Channel 13 Action News. “We’re excited to have have her on our team."
Fisher has previously won a local Emmy for reporting and has received four Electronic Media Awards, including two for best anchor.
Fisher left her previous position with the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas to devote more time to her family.
“That wasn’t a hard decision,” Fisher says. “My children were babies and they needed me home. My kids are school-aged now, so my husband and I felt I could return to a job I love, serving a community we love. I am grateful to be working for a company that supports and values my role as wife and mother.”
Jim Prather, executive vice president and general manager for Journal Broadcast Group and KTNV-TV, said, “Beth loves Las Vegas and embraces our mission of Together, Making Las Vegas a Better Place to Live. She will bring fresh local stories to our morning show, stories that showcase the positive things happening in our community and the people making it happen.”
Fisher moved to Las Vegas 13 years ago. She will appear on the morning broadcast sometime in early September.
