Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A fire burned 15 acres near Mountain Springs, on State Route 160 west of Las Vegas on Thursday.
The fire began with a lightning strike just after 3 p.m.
The area impacted was near the pass between Las Vegas and Pahrump.
A Bureau of Land Management spokesperson said several crews worked to contain the fire.
The blaze was not considered a threat to any structures, and no injuries were reported.
