Is it time for the president to dump Joe Biden?
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Is it time for President Obama to dump Joe Biden?
A lot of people are asking that question after the latest in a series of verbal vice presidential blunders.
If a change in the ticket is made, it has to be made before the Democratic National Convention wraps up.
That is where the party formally nominates their candidates and states finalize their ballots. So, President Obama has until Sept. 6 although some people say that the Democrats could steal some thunder from the Republicans if a decision is announced right before their convention on Aug. 27.
Hillary Clinton is thought to be the likely replacement although she would have to resign as secretary of state.
All of this is speculation but it was renewed this week after the vice president made a comment about Mitt Romney's Wall Street plan.
Many people, including former mayor Rudy Guiliani, said that the remark was borderline racist and obscene. Biden did clarify his comment, saying that House Speaker John Boehner used the word "unshackled" when discussing Congressman Paul Ryan's budget proposal and that is what he was referring to.
