Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Cox Communications is helping some families in need gear up for the school year free of charge.

More than 1,300 employees have spent six weeks gathering items for the annual tradition. Backpacks, pencils, notebooks and more were generously distributed to the children and teens at Olive Crest.

The program helps kids who are in the foster care program. Olive Crest does more than just prep kids for the school year. The non-profit is making Las Vegas a better place to live by providing 24 hour care to abused, neglected and abandoned children.
