Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Romney bus is rolling through Las Vegas while inside the local campaign headquarters volunteers are dialing up and hoping to talk with voters.

"Hi my name is Cody and I'm with Romney for president," one volunteer said.

It's all part of a big push to connect with people on the eve of Congressman Paul Ryan's visit to Las Vegas.

"Nevada is widely known as a battle ground state," Romney's regional press secretary, Darren Littell, said. "It's a swing state and swing voters are very concerned about the economy and jobs that haven't come back."

Governor Romney is running as the guy to fix the economy. His bus is touring the state stopping in multiple cities to promote the new Romney-Ryan ticket.

"Nevada is a very big state so sometimes it's easier for us to reach out to them then them to come to us," Littell said.

But local Obama supporters are also kicking it into gear, Latinos for Obama are launching a "Week of Action." The week will include town hall meetings and phone banks to inform the Latino community about Obama's plan to improve the economy.

Some Latinos said Obama stands for issue they care about like education and immigration.

"Most Latinos will see that President Obama has consistently fought for them and that Paul Ryan is not a good choice for this community," Asw. Lucy Flores, District 28, said.

But the big challenge is getting Latinos to the polls.

"We always want to be accessible whether it's outside grocery stores or places where people gather," Obama campaign supporter, Ernie Apreza, said.

Paul Ryan will speak on Tuesday at Palo Verde High School on South Pavilion Center Drive.

The doors open at 2 p.m.
