Moped driver in critical condition after crash
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The 21-year-old driver of a moped is in critical condition at University Medical Center after a crash on Saturday evening.
The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Symphony Park Avenue near the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s headquarters.
Police said the 21-year-old driver of a Diamo Velocity Moped was riding northbound in the right two lanes of MLK when he started to lose control of the moped. The driver of a Ford Explorer started changing to the left travel lane. The moped fell on its side and Harris was ejected into the path of the Explorer. The driver was unable to avoid hitting the moped driver.
The accident remains under investigation.
