Child nearly drowns at apartment complex pool
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A child was hospitalized after authorities said he nearly drowned at an apartment complex pool Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the Adagio Condominium Complex near Vegas Drive and Buffalo Drive at about 2:30 p.m., where they say a 4-year-old boy was found at the bottom of a pool.
A police investigation revealed that the child was left unsupervised when a 10-year-old noticed the younger child drowning. The 10-year-old quickly called for help. A nurse happened to be nearby, and began performing CPR while another person called 911.
Medics were able to revive the child and transported him to Sunrise Hospital where he remained in critical condition as of Saturday night.
Police and the Clark County Department of Family Services are investigating the situation.
