Convenience store shooting supect arrested
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police have arrested 20-year-old James Johnson following a standoff Friday morning for the fatal shooting Thursday morning at Sahara Mini Mart on East Sahara Avenue and South Nellis Boulevard.
Numerous tips from the public led Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to Jonson. Investigators tracked Johnson to a residence in the 2400 block of Abarth St. in southeast Las Vegas.
Johnson, who also goes by the name of "Crazy," was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on the charges of murder with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, battery, and coercion.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call LVMPD Homicide Section at 828+3251 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
