Las Vegas man dead after fiery Nye Co. semi-truck crash
PAHRUMP, Nev. (AP) -- A 44-year-old Las Vegas man is dead after his semi-truck veered down an embankment in Nye County and burst into flames.
Nevada Highway Patrol officials say Keith Andrew Pruim was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash that happened about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities say they're not sure why Pruim's truck went off the shoulder and through a guard rail along State Route 160 near mile marker 27. The truck and trailer went down an embankment, rolled and caught fire.
Troopers say Pruim was in the cab and was engulfed by the flames.
