1 person dead after shooting at convenience store
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police are investigating a fight and a shooting this morning that has left one person dead on the east side of the valley.
According to the Lt. Ray Sieber of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, two men were fighting inside the Sahara Mini Mart near South Nellis Boulevard and East Sahara Avenue.
The fight continued outside and one man pulled a gun and shot the other man several times. It does not appear that robbery was a motive but it is not known why the men were fighting.
The gunshot victim -- a man in his 30s -- was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The shooting happened at about 12:20 a.m. this morning.
Police are still looking for the suspect in the shooting. He is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, and last seen wearing a white shirt and khaki colored shorts.
The suspect fled the scene on foot.
