Homeowner fires shots at intruders, one suspect hospitalized
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Gunshots were fired at a Valley home Tuesday afternoon after a man returned to find intruders in his backyard.
It happened Tuesday afternoon in a sparsely developed neighborhood near South Jones Boulevard and West Russell Road.
Police say a man returned to find his home had been broken into. After looking around, he noticed that there were strangers in his backyard.
When the homeowner confronted the suspects, they jumped the back wall. Shots were fired and one of the suspects ended up injured at University Medical Center.
Las Vegas police would only say that the suspect may have been shot.
The suspect was arrested at UMC. There is no word yet on what charges may be filed.
