Woman shot while driving in North Las Vegas
North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- North Las Vegas police are investigating the shooting of a woman early Tuesday in North Las Vegas.
The shooting was reported at about 2:30 a.m. Officers responded to a gas station at West Cheyenne Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard and found a 35-year-old woman that had been shot multiple times.
The woman was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition. According to initial reports, she was shot in the hands, head and back.
The preliminary investigation indicates the shooting likely occurred while the North Las Vegas woman was driving her vehicle near the area of West Cheyenne and North Commerce Street.
The front passenger, a 40-year-old man, was not injured in the shooting.
According to Chrissie Coon of the North Las Vegas Police Department, it is not known at this time if the shooting was random or if the woman was the intended target.
No suspects have been arrested.
