Man charged with sexually assaulting young girl
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 24-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly sexually assaulting a child last week.
Police say a family member reported a girl missing from an apartment complex on West Washington Avenue near North Rainbow on Friday night.
Officers responded but could not find the girl. Later on, a family member spotted her running from an apartment.
The girl said she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted at gunpoint. Responding officers arrested Joshua Davenport, a resident of that apartment.
Following an investigation, Davenport was booked on several charges including kidnapping and sexual assault with a victim under 14.
Police believe Davenport may be connected to other crimes in the area.
