Colorado shooting victim laid to rest in Reno
Reno, NV (KTNV) -- Friends and family attended a funeral in Reno Friday for Jonathan Blunk.
He was the Nevada man shot and killed last month in the movie theater massacre in Aurora, Colorado.
The 26-year-old Navy veteran had full Military honors at Friday's memorial.
Members of the Patriot Guard, many who didn't even know the young father of two, stood by.
Blunk was one of 12 people killed in that shooting during the midnight screening of the new Batman movie.
Those who knew him say Friday's service was exactly what Blunk would have wanted.
The ceremony wrapped up with the flag handed to Jonathan's 2-year-old son Maximus.
The man accused in the shooting, James Holmes, is facing 142 counts including first-degree murder and attempted murder.
